Kom Kom Miracle Knife - (8 inch) by Kiwi
This popular knife is manufactured by the Kiwi company of Thailand. It’s found in almost every Thai restaurant as it’s especially useful for preparing and decorating fruits and vegetables. It’s a multipurpose knife that is also used for shredding papaya for papaya salad, or for coring cucumbers and other vegetables or fruits. You can also use it to carve amazing patters on foodstuff as well use the traditional slicing and peeling functions.
The knife is dishwasher safe and instructions on how to use the knife are included on the back of the packet. The rotating blade is manufactured from high-grade cutlery stainless steel for outstanding sharpness.
To peel, the protrusion on the front part of the knife is used for peeling oranges, lychees, etc. Press it on the pole, then slit to the bottom, to peel easily.
To core, the handle end can be used for coring cucumbers, apples, jujubes, etc. Insert the handle into the center, turn slightly and pull out.
To carve, wind the black part of the knife counter clock-wise until the sharp end points out. Use this part to stab the center of soft fruits or vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers. Continue in this manner around the fruit/vegetable for a decorative 'V'-shaped pattern.
