Prik khing Curry Paste (100 g) by Mae Sri

Prik Khing is a sweet and spicy stir fry Thai cuisine. Unlike other curries, it is cooked without coconut milk and usually prepared with long green beans and meat.

Curry is not only a mouth watering, delicious food, it is renowned for its health benefits. Some healthy foods can be time consuming and difficult to make but Prik Khing curry paste is easy to use and utilized to make a delicious healthy meal in about five minutes.

Prik Khing curry paste consists of red chilli, shrimp paste, onion, garlic, galanga, lemongrass, and kaffir lime peel. The type of garlic used is called galanga. In the Thai language galanga means ginger. Garlic lowers your cholesterol while ginger helps to digest food and helps blood circulate around the body. Red chilli peppers are linked to suppressing cancer cells and have some cancer fighting properties.

Prik Khing Curry Paste has a very unique rich flavor. This type of curry is used in Thai restaurants throughout the world. Most often, it is stir fried with various vegetables and meat. The majority of the time beef, chicken or pork is used. After the meat has cooked, the curry is added and mixed with water and vegetables. This entire process takes about five minutes and afterwards you and your family can enjoy an authentic curry dish.

Ingredients: Dried Chilli Pepper 30%, Garlic, Shallot, Lemongrass 10%, Sugar, Salt, Kaffir Lime 2%, Galangal 1%, Spices (Coriander Seeds, Cumin, Cardamom, Bay Leaves), Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid

Store in a cool dry place. Avoid direct sunlight.

Cooking Instructions:

1. Stir fry 100g of Maesri's Prik Khing Curry Paste with vegetable oil in a wok under medium heat until fragrant.

2. Add prepared meat and stir fry until cooked while adding 50ml (5 tbsp) of water.

3. Add 400g of long green bean, 75ml (8 tbs) of water and 5-6 torn kaffir lime leaves. Then, season with sugar and 1.5-2 tbsp of fish sauce and stir fry until cooked and well mixed.

4. Remove from heat, plating and garnishing with kaffir lime leaves chiffonade, slices of chillies and crushes roasted peanuts (optional). Ready to serve
