From people looking for specialist ingredients to prepare authentic food at home to others wanting to recreate flavours from their travels, finding quality Thai food products from the local supermarket over the years has proven to be difficult for most people. Inspired by this dilemma, our founder, Julian, set up Thai Food Online in 2007 to provide the UK with a fast and efficient service that allowed more people to access Thai food products with ease.

We want our customers to know that when they shop with us, they aren’t only choosing what’s best for them but what is better for others in the long run. We are committed to working towards improving our sustainability efforts to help minimise single use plastic waste by reducing its use in our order packaging and fulfilment process.We are currently in the process of making plans for these improvements. Charity Partnership

Thai Food Online is a proud partner of the charity organisation ‘For Life Thailand’ through their ‘Thai Food in Action’ scheme. This scheme is about harnessing the power and popularity of Thai food to raise awareness amongst the British public about disabled children living in poverty in Thailand. Through this partnership, we will donate 10% of website sales made through the charity to support their cause in caring for children with disabilities. This includes supporting families in caring for their disabled children, assisting with access to equal opportunities and campaigning for improved inclusivity in Thai society. (For Life Thailand is registered with the Charity Commission for England & Wales. Registered Charity Number: 1143950).

Meet The Team

Our founder Julian, has over 20 years of eCommerce experience working in some of London’s ground-breaking firms from the birth of the internet to modern day apps. He was inspired to create Thai Food Online after spending several years travelling around Thailand in his youth and falling in love with the culture and food, merging his passion for Thai food with his extensive eCommerce experience. His ultimate vision is to create the best online shopping experience for Thai Food Online customers, which has proven successful from the over 10,000 excellent rated Trustpilot reviews and over half a million website customers. He plans to continue growing the Thai Food Online brand by expanding the range of exciting Asian food products from Thailand and beyond.
Rated 4/5 stars under Bolton Council inspection, our warehouse stocks an ever-growing range of products from over 200 Asian brands. We also have a small but diligent team of warehouse staff who work tirelessly packing all of these products and doing quality control. Our customer’s orders keep our warehouse team busy and they are determined to ensure all orders arrive securely the next day. 
Our office is a small team of Asian cuisine experts and fanatics, who specialise in a range of disciplines from ecommerce to marketing, wholesale and customer service. They are dedicated to sourcing and sharing authentic products and resolving customer queries with a joint mission to make Asian food products accessible for everyone!
With over 17 years of experience (and 5 years within the food industry), Becky is our trusty warehouse manager who takes charge of our day to day operations. From staff training, order distribution and dealing with couriers, Becky makes sure everything at Thai Food Online’s warehouse is running smoothly. She also oversees the health and safety of the warehouse to ensure staff can work at their best and provides support to our customers via email. She enjoys the various daily challenges her role brings and while she doesn’t have as much time to cook, when she does, her go-to Asian recipes are either a Jamie Oliver Thai Green or Red Curry.
Our eCommerce Manager Wendy looks after everything across our website and marketplaces from online merchandising, liaising with authentic suppliers and listing the best Asian food products. One of the most interesting parts of her role is seeing the growing range of products along with sourcing and sampling new and trending products that she knows our customers would enjoy. She loves all types of Asian food but Chinese is her go-to cuisine. She loves the range of weird and wacky foods, anything from sweet to spicy and there is so much she hasn’t tried yet. Her ultimate recommendation is that everyone needs to try the king of fruits, Durian. 
Mona is our Digital Marketing Executive and her role is all about showcasing our range of products to new and existing customers across digital platforms such as SEO, social media and email marketing. Along with occasionally sharing promotions so customers can enjoy offers too. Mona’s role also includes writing blog post articles to inspire our customers to learn about Thai and Asian cuisine and resolving customer queries on social media. Discovering new brands, interesting ingredients and experimenting with flavours are just some of the things she enjoys about her role and her go-to Asian food is stir-fries, easy, convenient and so many variations of recipes!

VAT & Payments

Many of our products are foodstuffs and are zero rated for VAT purposes, otherwise 20% VAT is added. The VAT is included in the price you see.

Our payment service provider is Shopify payments and PayPal. The Shopify payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. All the information you give at the payment page, including your credit or debit card numbers, is encrypted using 128 bit encryption. The information is then taken off the internet and passed to the bank on a secure private link.

Shopify public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that you can have confidence that nobody can impersonate Shopify to obtain confidential information.
